To mark the forthcoming publication of her brand-new book, Little Darlings, Jacqueline Wilson will be appearing at the Dalhousie Building, University of Dundee, on 24th March at 7pm. Little Darlings tells the story of two girls who are worlds apart, but forever together.
Sunset lives a life of luxury with her beautiful ex-model mum, her world-famous ex-rocker dad and two little celeb siblings. But life on the red carpet is no compensation for rowing parents, constant nagging, intensive media scrutiny and no real friends.
Destiny, on the other hand, is an only child living on a rundown estate with a sickly but devoted mum who constantly tells her that she's really the daughter of a famous former rock star . . .
When the two girls meet in unlikely circumstances, they are surprised to find in each other something they've been missing all their lives . . .
Tickets are limited to six per person. All seats will be in the main auditorium and there will be a very limited signing after the event.
Signed stock will be available to purchase before and after the main event. In addition a limited number of customers will be able to get signed copies individually dedicated. Please arrive early to receive a wristband that will grant you access to the dedicationsigning queue, which will be issued on a strictly first come first served basis.

For A’ That - 'A Celebration of Burns'
A book and an event to celebrate Burns.

The words of Robert Burns, poet and artist, have crossed the decades, the centuries and the globe, meaning something different to every one of us. The University of Dundee has especially commissioned writers from around the world to converge upon the pages of a prestigious new anthology - DBC Pierre, Janice Galloway, Bill Manhire and Kirsty Gunn - as well as national stars of the literary world - Gavin Wallace, Jim Stewart, Stewart Crossley - and some of the best unknown literary names to celebrate a great life well and truly lived by Scotland’s best-known literary figure.
In addition, a folio of original artwork has been created exclusively for the book, by Brigid Collins, with exciting new book design by Tim Bremner.
The book will be available in September, priced £6.99 from Amazon, Dundee University Press, Borders Dundee and Waterstones. You can pre-order a copy by emailing dup@dundee.ac.uk.
The book will be launched at a gala event on 29th September, 2009 at the Dundee Rep. With readings, song and the chance to hear Robert Burns as you’ve never heard him before. Tickets are available from the Dundee Rep Theatre - 01382 223530, priced £5.
